Latjeskloof

Situated on a beautiful citrus farm 25km outside Citrusdal, Latjeskloof provides a variety of accommodation in a tranquil setting to relax and unwind. With panoramic views of the Kouebokkeveld, Cederberg and the Olifants River Valley you couldn’t ask for more in the way of peace and quiet. Run by owners, Alan & Hazel, the setting is comfortable and offers farm-style hospitality.

We have two buildings on the farm which offer accommodation. Latjeskloof Cottage is a stand-alone, luxury cottage. Latjeskloof Bed & Breakfast is the main farmhouse, where there is the option of a private double room with ensuite bathroom; or the Attic, which is the upper floor of the farmhouse, with a separate entrance, kitchenette and private bathroom. Located en route to Namibia and close to the magnificent Cederberg mountain range, our farm overlooks the Olifants River, which dissects Citrusdal valley. The Olifants River is the artery for the Citrus industry, which the main income generator of the area. Vistas of citrus orchards from the stoep can be expected! Also grown in the area is rooibos tea, and deciduous fruit including grapes, peaches, apricots and nectarines.

In August and September, we experience the magnificent Namaqualand daisies, which bloom along the roadside, in amongst the orchards, fields, and in the mountains. Come and see the spectacular wildflowers, and explore the area for ancient rock art, hiking and more. The clear, fresh air provides breath-taking starry night skies, framed by the Cederberg to the east and the Olifants River mountains to the west.
